Get yourself back on track
When the you have been in Australia (or any other country for that matter) for a while the euphoria of migration starts to recede and the feeling like “its an extended holiday” starts to disappear as the bills roll in. This is the time many migrants start to wonder where they are heading. The day to day feelings of you and your family also affect this. One day everyone is enjoying life, next your partners unhappy and then it’s the kids, and finally you’re like it when they aren’t. It’s an ever decreasing circle that leaves you wondering what the heck you have done!
But it’s natural to feel like that and understanding why is one of the first steps in the coaching program for migrants. You put so much effort to getting into Australia (or anywhere for that matter) that when you arrive you loose sight of why you are there.
There is also the family members who maybe did not share the passion and the desire to migrate. In most migration cases it is one member, be it husband or wife, who drives the migration forward at such a pace that the others get swept along without really thinking. From experience many did not think it would happen so they are totally unprepared.
How each individual deals with these situation will be different but coaching can help by getting you to establish your values and beliefs. These will help establish new and more meaningful goals, which in turn will give your new life purpose and meaning.
